Ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023 in India, a group of Dutch players are in India and have started practicing at the KSCA Alur stadium which is close to the NCA. A group of 12 players from the Netherlands are part of this camp which includes batters and spiners.
The motive behind this camp is to get adjusted to the Indian conditions ahead of the mega event. The Netherlands locked their World Cup spot in July earlier this year and are eager to make the most of this opportunity.
Netherlands head coach Ryan Cook spoke to TOI on the minutes of this training camp saying the purpose is to get adjusted to the Indian conditions.
“The camps here will be an opportunity for the World Cup squad to come together and train in Indian conditions. We will also be training and putting the final touches to a preparation which has been very professionally driven by both players and coaches,” head coach Ryan Cook, who is overseeing the week-long camp, told TOI.
