Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has said that there will be no changes to the schedule of ICC World Cup 2023 matches at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, as per Cricbuzz. Earlier, HCA had requested BCCI to change the schedule of two matches.
Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad is set to host two back-to-back games on October 9 and October 10. On October 9, New Zealand and Netherlands are set to clash with each other.
On October 10, England and Bangladesh will face each other. Earlier, Hyderabad Cricket Stadium had requested BCCI to give at least a one-day break between the two games as it will be difficult work to provide security for both games.
Similarly, the stadium is also set to host a warm-up match between New Zealand and Pakistan on September 29 (Friday). However, due to Ganesh Visarjan and Milad-Un-Nabi festivals which happen to occur on the same day, the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) requested BCCI to change to dates of the games.
However, BCCI had denied their requests in the matter. According to reports, Hyderabad sent an official e-mail to BCCI regarding their concerns. However, BCCI rejected their claims and reiterated that there would be no change to the match.
