The ICC World Cup 2023 prize money for the champions finalists, runners-up, and all the participating teams have been released by the ICC. India and Australia play the World Cup final in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19.

India are on a 10-match winning streak heading into the final while Australia have won 8 matches on the trot. The 2023 World Cup final is in many ways a rematch between India and Australia 20 years later. The two teams met in the 2003 World Cup final with Australia betting India in that game.

Meanwhile, the ICC has released the amount of money that will be awarded to the champions, the runners-up, the semi-finalists, and the six teams that were eliminated in the league stage.

ICC World Cup 2023 Prize Miney Details Revealed

The winner of the 2023 ODI World Cup Final winner will be awarded a sum of US $4 million (INR 33,25,08,400) from the International Cricket Council (ICC) while the runners-up will get exactly half, that is, US $2 million (INR 16,62,54,200).

The losing semi-finalists, South Africa and New Zealand will get US $800,000 (INR 6,65,01,680) each. The semi-final curse continued for the Proteas while the Kiwis despite playing competitive cricket could not advance to the final.

The prize money for the six teams who were eliminated from the group stage also have been revealed. Each team will get will each get $100,000 (INR 83,17,710). The winner of each league stage match will get $40,000 (INR 33,25,242). The total prize money the ICC will be distributing is US $10 million or INR 83,13,10,500.

The match will be played in Ahmedabad which has been a high-scoring venue. The pitch has been the talking point ahead of the final. In 32 ODI matches played at this venue, 17 matches have been won by the team batting first while 15 batting second. In the last 10 games, six matches have been won by the team chasing.
