ICC World Test Championship Final Most Centuries: The second edition of the ICC World Test Championship (ICC WTC) is set to end in June 2023.
The ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle began on 4 August 2021 with the five-match Test series between England and India and will conclude with the much-anticipated ICC World Test Championship final between Australia and India. The ICC World Test Championship final is scheduled to be played from June 7 to 11 at the Oval in London.
While Australia are gearing up for their first-ever ICC World Test Championship final, India will be playing their second ICC World Test Championship final. India made it to the ICC World Test Championship final in 2021 too where they suffered a loss against New Zealand.
Both India and Australia will have a chance to become the first team to win all the ICC global events in the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final. Both the teams have won each and every global limited-overs trophy and will be keen to add the ICC World Test Championship title to their kitty.
ICC World Test Championship Final Most Centuries
Through this article, we are taking a look at players who have scored the most centuries in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle. The ICC World Test Championship most centuries list is led by none other than England’s star batsman Joe Root.
During the soon-to-end ICC World Test Championship cycle, the former England skipper smashed as many as 8 centuries. He is followed by his compatriot Jonny Bairstow and Usman Khawaja who 6 centuries in the ICC World Test Championship most centuries list. Khawaja will have the opportunity to increase his century tally in the ICC World Test Championship final.
Marnus Labuschagne and Daryl Mitchell complete the top 5 with 5 and 4 centuries respectively. The Indian with the most centuries during ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle is a young opener, Shubman Gill.
The right-handed batsman is at the 16th spot with 2 centuries. Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul have also hit two tons during this period but have played more matches than Gill ICC World Test Championship.
