Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh has penned down an emotional post for her husband after India's historic T20 World Cup 2024 victory at Barbados. India clinched the trophy by defeating a strong South African side in the final by a narrow margin.

The title win has ended India's long wait for an ICC title. India had not won any ICC trophy since the 2013 Champions Trophy despite making it to the semi-finals and final on various occasions.

Even in this game at one point, it seemed like South Africa would cruise to the win. But the Indian bowlers displayed their magic when the team needed the most. Led by Jasprit Bumrah, the bowlers produced an enthralling display to leave South Africa 7 runs short of the target.

After the win, Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh, and their daughter were also present at the ground. Rohit seemed visibly emotional and hugged his wife and daughter after the win. Later, Ritika posted pictures of Rohit Sharma and wrote down an emotional post for her husband.

"Ro, I know what this has meant to you. This format, this cup, these men, this journey and this entire process of getting what you’ve always dreamed of. I know how hard these last few months have been for you. I know the toll it’s taken on your heart, mind and body but watching you achieve your dream was incredibly emotional and inspiring," Ritika posted on social media.

“As your wife, I am immensely proud of what you’ve achieved and the impact you’ve had on this game and the people who love it; but as someone who loves your game I’m sad to see you leave any part of it behind. I know you’ve thought long and hard about what’s best for this team but that doesn’t make watching you leave that part of it behind any easier. I love you so much and I am so incredibly proud to call you mine!” she added.
