It’s Just A Blood Clot, A Little Bruise – Hardik Pandya

Speaking ahead of the India-Afghanistan match in Delhi, Hardik Pandya expressed his readiness to face the challenge in the ICC World Cup 2023, despite his recent injury concerns.

“I wasn’t able to bowl much (due to his injury), but I am fine. It’s just a blood clot, a little bruise. There’s a lot of excitement around us, fans are supporting us and it’s a special feeling to be playing in home conditions. Looking forward to this challenge,” Pandya said.

Hardik finished with a bowling performance of 1-28 in three overs. He took a catch to dismiss Cameron Green in Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling. He also contributed with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 11 runs off eight deliveries to help India secure a six-wicket victory.

I Got A Lot oF Wishes In The Morning – Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya expressed gratitude for the birthday wishes he received from his teammates. He praised the team’s performance against Australia, particularly highlighting their bowling and their ability to handle pressure.

“They (team-mates) all know it’s by birthday, I got a lot of wishes in the morning and last night before I slept. We bowled well (against Australia), kept them under pressure while bowling and we used the conditions to our advantage. We were under pressure when we lost three wickets, but credit to Virat and KL for the way they absorbed all that pressure,” he added.

The star all-rounder is celebrating his 30th birthday on Wednesday, October 11. The right-handed batter would love to mark his birthday with a victory against Afghanistan, scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi today.
