Venkatesh Prasad also highlighted the importance of partnership between KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. He stated:

“Having said that, that partnership was important. In the mid-show, I had said India will have to bat patiently and build partnerships, and that is exactly what KL Rahul and Virat Kohli did.”

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul added 165 runs partnership that took India home. They batted magnificently well and won the game for their side.

IND vs AFG: Pat Cummins could have continued with Mitchell Starc – Venkatesh Prasad

Venkatesh Prasad further pointed out that in the game, Australia captain Pat Cummins missed the trick. He highlighted when India lost early wickets, he should’ve continued bowing Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood. He added:

“Maybe, Pat Cummins could have continued with Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood. Instead of bowling them just four overs each, he should have given them an over or two.”

India will next be seen in action on 11th October when they will take on Afghanistan in Delhi.
