India captain Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh bossed the third T20I against Afghanistan. The dead rubber game between the teams took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

After India were 22/2, Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh went berserk and were all over the Afghanistan batters. They first made sure that they brought the innings back on the track but once they were in they took bowlers to the cleaners.

Ahead of the game, no one would’ve imagined that the duo of Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh would prove to be this deadly for the team. The left-right combination took the game away from Afghanistan and made sure that India posted a big total on board.

Rohit Sharma and Rinku added unbeaten 190 runs for the fifth wicket. This was the highest partnership batting at fifth or below in the history of the T20Is. It was a pure exhibition of brutal power hitting and no area of the ground was there where the ball didn’t go.

The main highlight of the partnership between Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh came during the last over the innings. The duo slammed 36 runs together to Karim Janat and powered India to a total of 212 runs.

Rohit Sharma started the over with the big six off no ball and then slammed another six in on the free hit. On the third ball, Rinku Singh hit the ball out of the park and if this was not enough, he then made sure that he dispatched the last two balls for maximums as well and ended the innings on high for his team.

Here’s the video:

Rohit Sharma hit his 5th T20I ton and ended with the knock of unbeaten 121 runs. Where on the other hand, Rinku Singh slammed 69 runs. The duo made the bowlers look clueless and thoroughly entertained the crowd. They scored over 100 runs in the last 5 overs and made sure that they take the team past the 200 runs.
