Virat Kohli has a huge fan following across the world. He is among the most followed sportspersons on social media and easily the highest-followed cricketer in the world right now.
Virat Kohli's record against Australia
With India set to play a highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia later this year, Kohli's involvement in the video will attract an Indian audience. The 35-year-old is likely to play a vital part in the five-match Test series against Australia.
Virat Kohli has a great record against Australia in Test cricket. He has played 25 Tests against Australia in which he has scored 2042 runs at an average of 47.48 with 8 hundreds and 5 fifties. Among all the teams, he has scored the most runs against Australia.
The right-hander has an even better record playing Test cricket in Australia. Kohli has played 13 Tests against Australia so far in which he has scored 1352 runs at an average of 54.08 with 6 hundreds and 4 fifties.
Virat Kohli has achieved unprecedented success throughout his career and is now among the senior players of the team. But his passion and determination make him such a tough competitor. India will want its talismanic cricketer to be in the best form for the five-match Test series against Australia.
Australia desperate to win Border-Gavaskar Trophy
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will consist of five Tests this year. The series will begin on November 22 in Perth and will end with the New Year Test in Sydney, which will be played from January 3-7.
Australia have not won a Test series against India for a decade. They last won a Border-Gavaskar Trophy way back in 2014-15 when they beat India 2-0. Since then, India and Australia have been involved in four Border-Gavaskar series, two each in India and Australia.
India have won all of them with an identical 2-1 margin. In the last tour down under, India clinched the series win with a famous victory at Gabba where Rishabh Pant hit the winning runs. This year also promises to be a spectacular series between these two top teams.
