Fans on X reacted after India lost Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Shreyas Iyer for a duck in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 game against Australia. The match is currently taking place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where the visitors were bundled out for just 199 runs.

It was expected that India would chase the target easily but that didn’t happen as Australian bowlers were all over them. Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood made the Indian top-order clueless and put them under real pressure.

Mitchell Starc drew the first blood for his team as he removed Ishan Kishan with a peach. He bowled a full wide delivery outside off that swung away. The batter attempted to play the on drive and got the edge that was caught by Cameron Green in the slips.

In the very next over, Josh Hazlewood trapped Indian captain Rohit Sharma in lbw. He bowled from a fuller length that cut in sharply after pitching. The ball was in front of the middle and the batter was termed out for a duck.

Things got even worse for India when Josh Hazlewood removed Shreyas Iyer as well. The batter slashed at a wide harmless length ball and hit it straight to Warner at covers. He too bagged a duck and India were left tottering at 2/3.

The onus now will be on Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and others to take the team home. Fans would be hoping that the duo chip in and take the team home. With what the scorecard suggested, the Men in Blue looked in deep trouble.
