Virat Kohli and his India teammates are currently preparing for the World Cup. While the highly-anticipated competition got underway on Thursday (October 5), India are scheduled to open their campaign on Sunday (October 8).
Team India will begin their campaign against five-time World Cup winners Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Men in Blue are one of the firm favorites to win the coveted title. Team India have faced severe criticism in recent years for their failure to win ICC competitions. Playing the World Cup at home will only add more pressure on the players.
However, it looks like the pressure has not affected Kohli. The former India skipper was in his usual animated and cheerful mood during a training session in Chennai. He was seen running in a hilarious fashion before making funny faces as Jasprit Bumrah also joined him.

Virat Kohli recently joined the team after going to Mumbai for a personal reason. He left the team in Guwahati where India were scheduled to play a warm-up game against England. The game, however, was washed out. Virat Kohli then skipped the second warm-up game against Netherlands in Thiruvananthapuram but that game was washed out too.
Virat Kohli eyes history:
Virat Kohli has the chance to create history in the ongoing World Cup. He and Ravichandran Ashwin can become the only Indian players to win the ODI World Cup twice if India go all the way this year. Both the players were part of the 2011 team that won the World Cup under MS Dhoni’s captaincy.
The former India captain will also be looking to score a century in the World Cup after missing out in the last edition. He scored five fifties in the 2019 World Cup but could not reach the triple-digit mark. Virat Kohli has been in good form this year and would be looking to fire India to their third World Cup title.
