IND vs BAN: Litton Das Lashes Out At Media For Being Present On Off-Day - Reports

In what has been the latest development as per the reports in Daily Star, Bangladesh batter Litton Das lashed out at the media present in Pune. The Shakib Al Hasan-led arrived in the city of Maharashtra on Saturday (14th October) for their next ICC World Cup 2023 game against India.

Bangladesh will be having two off days in Pune as their next match against India is slated to take place on Thursday (19th October). As they enjoyed their time off, media was also present at the team hotel to get their pictures and videos, updating fans about the developments in the team.

Litton Das didn’t like the media being present and he lashed out at them. The reports suggested that he told security personnel about them and urged them to take media people out. He stated: Why are the media here? Why are they taking my photo?”

While he had problems with media being present at the hotel, other members of the team including Taskin Ahmed, Towhid Hridoy, and Mahmudullah Riyad greeted them and were okay with the media taking their pictures.

But with Litton Das being uncomfortable, the media, the hotel security requested the keen journalists to leave the hotel saying that the players were not comfortable with their presence. Bangladesh haven’t interacted well with the media this World Cup.

Bangladesh haven’t been in the greatest of touches in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. They kick-started the tournament on high after they thumped Afghanistan. But after that things haven’t gone their way. They suffered thrashing losses against England and New Zealand.

Litton Das has been poor with the bat as well in the tournament. He hasn’t quite set the stage on fire and has continued his poor form. He bagged a golden duck against New Zealand and was poor against Afghanistan as well. He scored 76 runs against England.
