Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das said that they need to forget their historic 2-0 Test series win against Pakistan and that now all concentration has to go towards their upcoming much-awaited two-match Test series against India.

Bangladesh is all set to travel to India on September 15 to play a two-match Test series and three-match T20I series against the Men in Blue.

The Test series kicks off on September 19 in Chennai, with the second and final Test scheduled for September 27 in Lucknow.

The three T20I will be played on October 6, 9, and 12 in Gwalior, Delhi, and Hyderabad, respectively.

While Bangladesh is basking in glory over their first-ever Test series win against Pakistan, that too in Pakistan, Litton has admitted that it's time to move on and put focus on challenges lying ahead.

Very important to leave Pakistan series behind: Litton Das ahead of India tour

Litton Das said that the Tigers cannot stay satisfied with wins of the past, and now they need more and more preparations to challenge Team India in India on the upcoming tour.

However, Litton Das admitted that their Test series win in Pakistan has boosted the Bangladesh team’s confidence.

Litton Das was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium: We have played very well against Pakistan. That is already in the past. Obviously, it is very important (to leave the Pakistan series behind), and you (media) also need to help a bit.”

Litton Das added, “It would be better if you don't talk too much about the Pakistan series. There is a big, challenging series ahead (against India). For me as a player, that is in the past (Pakistan Series). But we definitely gained confidence from that.”

'India are always the better side at home'

Speaking about India's strength, Das said that they always dominate the tourists on the home conditions. He admitted that it will be a tough task to challenge the Indian cricket team in their conditions in the upcoming Test and T20I series.

Das noted, When we play India at their home, they are always the better side. I wouldn't say it will be extremely challenging or very easy. They are a very good team in their own conditions. If you look at the rankings, they are so high up. So, I think it will be a challenging series for us.”

Litton Das opens up about the challenges of playing with SG ball

One crucial thing for Bangladesh will be getting adjusted to the SG ball since they are relatively comfortable with the Kookaburra ball.

Litton mentioned that the Kookaburra ball gets easier to play once the ball is old, while the SG ball is its opposite challenge, as it's easier to play with when new but tougher when it gets older.

Litton signed off by saying, “India is a big team, and the ball will also change. We rarely play with that ball. It will be challenging. The players are working very hard. As for preparation, we are facing the main bowlers as much as we can. The SG ball is somewhat difficult. We are practicing; let's see what happens.”
