Yuzvendra Chahal, who is playing for Northamptonshire in his second County stint, made sure that he made a great impact with the ball for his team in the game against Derbyshire. The game between the two teams is taking place at the Northampton.
Yuzvendra Chahal made a huge impact on his team and made sure that he put them in the top position. The leg-spinner oozed his class with the ball and ensured that he made an impact in the English conditions as well, which aren't suited for the spinners.
Chahal came up with a brilliant five-wicket haul. Of all the wickets that he took, the scalp of Wayne Madsen caught the attention of many. The wrist-spinner came up with a magical effort to which the batter had no clue and had to take the long walk to the pavilion.
Chahal bowled a delivery on a leg stump line and the batter played the line of the ball and attempted to defend. He, however, was undone by the spin of the ball as the ball went on to hit the off stump to leave the batter stunned and send him packing.

This was the crucial wicket of Wayne Madsen as the batter was holding the one end for the team. He played an innings of 47 runs and with the way he was batting, he looked set for a big knock. But thanks to the delivery by Yuzvendra Chahal, the Northamptonshire were back in the game.
Chahal returned with figures of 5 for 45. His brilliant effort with the ball helped Northamptonshire seal a 54-run first-innings lead. The opposition were batting comfortably and were 150/4 at one stage. However, they came under pressure as they lost their last six wickets for just 15 runs.
Yuzvendra Chahal made his debut in the County for Northamptonshire against Kent in the One-Day Cup last month. He made an immediate impact as he picked five wickets. After that, he featured for the team in the red-ball cricket but couldn't make an immediate impact in the format.
Chahal picked just one wicket in his first first-class game against Middlesex and then went wicketless against Gloucestershire. However, with him picking a fifer in the, his confidence would be sky-high going further into the County Championship.
Yuzvendra Chahal last played an international game for India in 2023. However, after that, he didn't make the cut into the team. He was part of the team for the T20 World Cup 2024 but didn't get to play a single game and then again was on the sidelines.
