IND vs IRE 3rd T20I, Match Preview–2023. The IND vs IRE third T20I will be played on Wednesday, August 23 in Dublin. The match starts at 7.30 pm IST. The Men in Blue have already won the series by winning the first two games and are looking for a clean sweep. Ireland, on the other hand, are looking for a consolation win.
India won the second T20I by 33 runs. They posted 185/8 batting first. Ireland in the chase could reach only as far as Jasprit Bumrah, Ravi Bishnoi and Prasidh Krishna took two each.
Ireland are yet to beat India in T20Is. India have won all seven T20Is and three ODIs they have played against Ireland. The hosts need to raise their game if they are to win against the Men in Blue.
The first T20I was marred by rain. However, the weather conditions for the second T20I is expected to be a lot better. A full game was possible as the Men in Blue left an impact on the game. The weather conditions for the third T20I as per reports is a bit dubious. There is rain around which might play spoilsport.
This was India’s seventh T20I win against Ireland in as many matches. India have also won three ODIs against Ireland. Both teams are yet to play a Test match. India is topping the ICC T20I rankings while Ireland is placed 12th.

India
The BCCI selectors have named a young side led by Jasprit Bumrah who is making a comeback to international cricket. Along with him, Prasidh Krishna is also making a comeback after a long injury layoff. Rinku Singh earned his maiden international call-up. The likes of Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar are making a comeback into the team in the series.
Jasprit Bumrah made a winning start to his T20I captaincy career. He took two wickets in his very first over on his international comeback and looked fit. The Indian bowling performance especially was a remarkable one in the first T20I. The second T20I saw the batters stepping up and scoring runs.
Heading into the third T20I, there are a few changes expected with Jitesh Sharma likely to get a look in place of Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar. The likes of Bumrah, Prasidh, and Samson will head off to the Asia Cup after this series.

Paul Stirling will lead Ireland. He has taken over the T20I captaincy from Andrew Balbirnie. Harry Tector along with Stirling and Balbirnie form the batting core. Among the bowlers, Josh Little with his recent IPL experience will be the bowler to watch out for. Along with him, Barry McCarthy, Mark Adair, and Craig Young form the bowling group. Ross Adair, Theo van Woerkom, and Gareth Delany are likely to get a look in the third T20I.
The batting group led by skipper Stirling needs to come up with a better performance in the final T20I. None of their top-order batters scored above 20 in the batting lineup. Andrew Balbirnie top-scored with 72. Mark Adair batting at seven scored 23 which was the next-best score. Teams irrespective of the toss will prefer chasing.
