With the selectors looking to pick the best players, Gill can be given an opportunity at the top of the order in the series.

Prithvi Shaw

Shaw is another good potential who can be named in the Indian squad for the Ireland series. Shaw too has been scoring consistently in the IPL. He got his chance of playing T20I cricket for India in the series against Sri Lanka last year. With just two matches in the series, young players like Gill, Shaw and others can be tested while the seniors can be rested.

Mukesh Choudhary

He might make it tough to make it to the Indian squad, but Mukesh Choudhary is another good option who can be added to the India squad for the Ireland series. The CSK pacer ended IPL 2022 season with 16 wickets with 11 of them inside the powerplay. The management should try looking at him as an option.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh will be playing for India in the series against South Africa. He is all set to make his debut in the series. The pacer might even play all five games in the series. He should be added to the squad that will be announced for the Ireland series as well just to give him more confidence and experience.

Umran Malik

Umran ends this top 5 list of players. He has been named in the Indian squad announced for the South Africa T20I series. Ideally, he should be added to the Ireland squad as well. Several cricket experts primed Malik to be added to the Indian Test squad that was announced for the one-off Test series against England. His gifted pace has become a subject of the serious topic within the cricketing fraternity.
