Rinku Singh Played An Impactful Knock: Aakash Chopra
While speaking about IND vs IRE 2nd T20I on his YouTube channel, former India opener Aakash Chopra heaped praises on Rinku Singh for his impactful knock in the match.
“The Player of the Match is Rinku Singh. He is mine and was the official one as well. He scored 38 runs off 21 balls. The thing I liked is that T20 knocks shouldn’t be long but memorable and impactful, and this was an impactful knock,”, the 45-year-old said.
Chopra also added that although Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a half-century, Rinku Singh’s innings added critical runs towards the end.
“Ruturaj Gaikwad also scored a half-century, Sanju Samson also made runs, but Rinku Singh’s knock added critical runs towards the end and it didn’t make you feel that you don’t have a batter at No. 8, which was something you were missing,” added Chopra.
Rinku Singh also won the Player of the Match award for his amazing knock in his debut innings. The KKR batter was also part of IND vs IRE 1st T20I in which he made his international debut. However, he did not get a chance to bat in the match.
