IND vs IRE: "Return Of King" - Fans Hail Jasprit Bumrah As India Thump Ireland To Win The Series

Fans on X reacted in joy after Indian Cricket Team thumped Ireland by 33 runs in the second T20I at The Village in Dublin. The visitors took an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series and will be now looking to complete the clean sweep in the series. 

India were asked to bat first and they came out with positive intent in particular Yashasvi Jaiswal. The left-hander came out all guns blazing and smashed 18 runs in 11 balls. He stitched 29 runs opening partnership with Ruturaj Gaikwad and made sure that team is off the flier. 

Tilak Varma for the second time failed to make an impression in this series as India then lost two wickets. But Sanju Samson (40) along with Ruturaj Gaikwad (58) bailed the team out of trouble and added a magnificent half-century partnership for the third wicket to bring India back into the game.

Once they were back in the hut and the onus was then on Rinku Singh (38) and Shivam Dube (22*) to finish the innings for the team. The duo did exactly that as they smashed Irish bowlers all over the park and helped India post a total of 185 runs on the board. 

India then were on the top with the ball as they picked wickets from time to time with Prasidh Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi being the chief architects with their two wickets each. However, after Ireland lost 4 wickets, Andrew Balbirnie bailed his side out of trouble and smashed a magnificent half-century. 

He scored 72 runs but that wasn’t enough as India kept picking wickets at regular intervals and restricted Ireland to a total of 152 runs. Skipper Jasprit Bumrah, who bowled a maiden wicket last over, was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with the figures of 2/19.
