The 25-year-old batter Rinku Singh announced his arrival on the international stage by playing a stunning knock for India National Cricket Team in the second T20I of the three-match series against Ireland National Cricket Team at the Malahide, Dublin on Sunday, August 20.

Rinku Singh got his debut T20I cap in the first T20I but he didn’t get to bat as India won without his help. However, Rinku was needed in the second T20I match and he didn’t disappoint his side.

The 25-year-old came out to bat after the dismissal of Sanju Samson, who played a top-notch innings. Rinku stitched up two crucial partnerships during his explosive innings. He added good 24 runs in 17 balls with Ruturaj Gaikwad and then he had a great 55 runs stand in 28 balls with Shivam Dube.

Rinku Singh provided his side with a great finish as he smashed stunning 38 runs off 21 balls, with 2 fours and 3 magnificent sixes, to help India post 185/5 on the board.

There are very few players in international cricket who can take on bowlers the way he does – Abhishek Nayar on Rinku Singh

Speaking on Jio Cinema, former Indian cricketer Abhishek Nayar showered rich praise on the young batter Rinku Singh for his terrific batting show. He said that Rinku’s ability to take on the bowlers is quite special.

“I’m very happy. When he (Rinku) started his innings and you he was 15 off 15, if I remember. And then from there on to go and get 30 it just tells you the calibre and I’ve said this before,” Nayar said on JioCinema.

“There are very few players in international cricket who can take on bowlers the way he does. Once he gets going, I felt he showed a lot. From ball one, it didn’t feel like it was international cricket for him. He’s never felt like he was stuck in his batting, and those are things I often look at. I look at a batter when they walk into international cricket. How comfortable they were.”
