Virat Kohli played a magnificent unbeaten knock of 62 runs in 44 balls where he struck 3 fours and 2 sixes. Along with him, skipper Rohit Sharma got back to his best as he scored 53 runs in 39 balls. It looked as if India would end up with a score of 160 runs but a 25-ball half-century by Suryakumar Yadav took the score to 179-2.

Axar Patel Knocks Over Max O Dowd’s Stumps

Netherlands was quite scratchy in the power-play overs. The batters weren’t able to assert their dominance over the bowlers. In the 5th over skipper, Rohit Sharma gave the ball to Axar Patel. The left-arm off-spinner on the 2nd ball of the over bowled Max O’Dowd as the batter went too far across the stumps as the score was 20-2.

The Men in Blue would be well aware of the fact that they have to win big to stake a claim in the Semi-Final. There are chances that 3 teams may get tied on the same points in the group. Skipper Rohit Sharma will have to make sure that they don’t take the Netherlands lightly as they almost pulled a heist against Bangladesh.
