IND vs NEP: "Told Them Not To Put Too Much Pressure On Themselves"- Ravindra Jadeja To Nepal Players

Ravindra Jadeja came up with an impressive bowling performance against Nepal on Monday, September 4. The left-arm spinner took 3/40 as Nepal were bowled out for 230. India at least won the game by 10 wickets chasing 145 in 23 overs as per the DLS method.
In the process, India secured their qualification for the Super 4s of Asia Cup 2023. They will take on Pakistan next on September 10. Meanwhile, the Indian bowlers led by Ravindra Jadeja came back with an impressive bowling performance after the initial drop catches by Indian fielders.
Indian fielders dropped three catches and it was Ravindra Jadeja who broke the 65-run opening stand between the Nepal openers in the 10th over of the innings. He went on to take two more after his initial breakthrough. Mohammed Siraj took three as Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur and Hardik Pandya took a wicket each.
Jadeja shared his experience on the Indian players visiting the Indian dressing room after he match was over. He spoke about what was the conversation between him and the opposition players.
“They were asking us what are our routines prior to a match and the thought process ahead of a big game. So, I told them that I just follow my normal routine, listen to music. I told them to not put too much unnecessary pressure on themselves” Jadeja said.

Nepal Started Really Well In First 10 Overs: Ravindra Jadeja
He further spoke about Nepal’s batting performance and how the bowlers brought the team back into the match.
‘They started really well in the first 10 overs of the innings, and that is what sometimes happens when you are playing against a team for the very first time. We were able to control the game once me and Kuldeep came into the attack, because it was not easy to hit the spinners in the middle overs” Jadeja further said.
He added saying that the win over Nepal was an important one as they will be playing three big games in the Super 4 stage. India will play Pakistan on September 10, Sri Lanka/Afghanistan on September 12 and Bangladesh on September 15.
“I think it is good that as a team we won by 10 wickets, so overall the confidence will be good. As a team, you need these kinds of wins because big games are coming up” Ravindra Jadeja concluded saying.
