Nepal Skipper Rohit Paudel Laments Lack Of Impetus From Middle-Order Batters

Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel in the post-match presentation spoke about the performance of his team. He said that his team fell 30 runs short of their desired score and that their middle order needed to step up.

“The openers did a good job for us, the middle order could have done better, we were 30 runs short and if the middle order had done well then we could have reached 260-270.”

He further lauded his lower-order batters for batting them out of trouble with the end score. Regarding the bowling performance in this game, Paudel said that the pitch and the ground conditions made it difficult for his bowlers to hold the ball.

“Our lower order has been doing a great job and contributing in the last 4-5 months. The conditions were really hard but our bowlers bowled well as the ball was not gripping,” the Nepal skipper concluded.
