Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was awarded the Best Fielder Medal for his spectacular efforts in the match against Bangladesh. Ravindra Jadeja beat wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav to receive the medal following Team India’s seven-wicket victory.

Ravindra Jadeja became the fourth player, following KL Rahul, Shardul Thakur, and Virat Kohli, to receive the award. The all-rounder took a remarkable catch at backward point to dismiss Mushfiqur Rahim. He executed a stunning dive to his non-dominant right side.

In a behind-the-scenes video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), KL Rahul can be seen handing the medal over to Ravindra Jadeja. Fielding coach T Dilip announced the winner of the award for the best fielder of the match on the stadium’s large screen.

Two Game-Changing Catches By KL Rahul And Ravindra Jadeja – T Dilip

Dilip praised the team’s fielding performance, emphasizing that victories are built not only on runs and wickets but also on exceptional catches and diving efforts. He highlighted KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja’s game-changing catches.

“We have played enough. We all know that win isn’t built-in runs or wickets. I think it is also built on marvellous catches, tremendous diving and today was a great example of that. Just not the way we save, but the numbers saved. Two game-changing catches by KL and Jadeja.

We as a team saved 13 runs today. That was fantastic. So let’s roll the carpet for today’s evening star. On the field today one person was like a lion. Commanding on the field, outstanding effort with the direct hit, saving and fantastic top catch- Jadeja,” Dilip said in a video posted by BCCI.tv.

The team India fielding coach acknowledged Kuldeep Yadav’s outstanding performance and praised his dedication to continually pushing his limits in every game.

“And here comes a big person who’s been stretching his limits by every game. I think today we saw him outstandingly. Well, Kuldeep Yadav, you were outstanding. Like we have been speaking about this medal a lot and I think it’s not just our medal. We made something that is beautiful, but also a testament to our skill, fitness and will to put our bodies on the line. KL please do the honours for me,” Dilip further said in a video.

The Rohit Sharma-led team will face New Zealand in their upcoming match in Dharamsala on Sunday, October 22. The winner of the game will reach the top of the 10-team table in the marquee tournament.
