Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh hailed Indian players after their impeccable victory in the IND vs PAK encounter of Asia Cup 2023. Harbhajan Singh feels that India completely dominated Pakistan in the match.

India crushed Pakistan by 228 runs in the Asia Cup 2023 encounter on Tuesday. Setting a mammoth total of 356-2 in 1st innings, India bundled out Pakistan for just 128 in 32 overs.

Rohit Sharma And KL Rahul Set The Tone At The Start Of The Innings: Harbhajan Singh

Speaking about the IND vs PAK clash on his YouTube channel, Harbhajan Singh said that it was total domination by Team India. He elaborated on how Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul set the tone at the start of the innings.

“The target was so huge that Pakistan could only look at it, and not chase it down. Everyone was talking about Pakistan’s bowling strength, myself included, but the Indian batters just played too well.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill set the tone at the start of the innings, they set a really good foundation. Let’s hope that the form lasts until the World Cup,”Harbhajan Singh said.

The Shot By KL Rahul Against Shadab Khan Was My Favourite, Says Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh also revealed his favorite shot of the match. According to the former off-spinner, KL Rahul’s six off Shadab Khan was his shot of the match. However, he also added that Virat Kohli’s six off the final ball was equally impressive.

“The shot by KL Rahul against Shadab Khan, where he used his wrists to hit towards midwicket, was the shot of the match in my opinion. But, if any stroke can match that and challenge it, it was Kohli’s six off the last ball of the innings.”

Harbhajan, who represented India from 1998 to 2012, also lauded KL Rahul for his memorable comeback after his injury.

“It is not easy to return after an injury, but KL Rahul played brilliantly to mark a memorable comeback. It was total domination by India, the ball did not beat their bats even once and the bowlers had no answers at all,” Singh further said.

KL Rahul last played for Team India in March 2023 during the IND vs AUS series. He was injured during IPL 2023 and underwent a thigh surgery later. After recovery, he made a comeback to the Indian team in the Asia Cup 2023.
