India defeated Pakistan in the super four encounter of Asia Cup 2023 on Monday (September 11). Post the victory, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh gave a befitting reply to former PCB chairman Najam Sethi over his claims that India is afraid to play against Pakistan. Harbhajan Singh said that after India’s victory, Najam Sethi must have got his answer.

Former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi had earlier questioned whether they are afraid to lose to Pakistan as they have frequently changed the venue of IND vs PAK game. Due to the weather forecast, ACC had decided to shift the venue to Hambantota. However, the match took place in Colombo as planned with a reserve day.

Post India’s massive victory by 228 runs, cricketer-turned-commentator Harbhajan Singh gave a befitting reply to Najam Sethi on his YouTube channel. The cricketer-turned-commentator hopes Najam Sethi has got his answer after India’s victory. Harbhajan Singh also asked Sethi to keep his boy ready for the next game.

“I have a message for Najam Sethi. He had said that Team India are afraid of playing against Pakistan, I hope he saw the kind of performance that Team India put up, a record win. I hope he must have got his answer, so keep your boys ready for the next game,” the former off-spinner said.

Is India Afraid To Play And Lose To Pakistan: Najam Sethi

Earlier, Najam Sethi had tweeted about BCCI‘s and ACC’s sudden plans to change the venue of the IND vs PAK clash. He asked whether India was afraid of losing to Pakistan.

“BCCI/ACC informed PCB today that they had decided to shift next India-Pak match from Colombo to Hambantota because of rain forecasts. Within one hour they changed their mind and announced Colombo as the venue. What’s going on? Is India afraid to play and lose to Pakistan ? Look at the rain forecast!”, the 43-year-old further said.

Meanwhile, India crushed Pakistan by in the Asia Cup 2023 clash by 228 runs. Batting first, India piled up a mammoth total of 356-2 on the scoreboard. Openers Rohit Sharma (56) and Shubman Gill (58) slammed half-centuries to set an opening stand of 121 runs.

The game resumed on Monday with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul on strike. Both of them shattered centuries to set up an impeccable partnership of 235 runs for the 3rd wicket.

During the chase, Pakistan batters collapsed against Indian bowlers. None of the batters even managed to score a fifty. Fakhar Zaman was the top run-getter with 27 runs. Kuldeep Yadav picked a 5-wicket haul to dismantle the entire team. Bumrah, Pandya, and Thakur picked 1 wicket each. Pakistan were bowled out for 128 runs, losing the match by 228 runs.
