IND vs PAK: KL Rahul Speaks On His Recovery Process From Thigh Injury, Says 'You Get Really Lazy After The Point In Time'

Star India batsman, KL Rahul opened on the recovery process from his thigh injury and explained why this time it was different from other times. Rahul stated that after one point in time, one would feel lazy during the recovery process.
While speaking in a video to the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), KL Rahul said that other times when is suffered from an injury, the player used to feel lazy and was frustrated at times. However, KL Rahul claimed that this time he did not feel lazy and always found motivation to come back.
“Quite strange this time, the other times that I’ve had surgery or injuries, you know, I find myself really being very bored, not knowing what to do or not having any motivation to you know, wake up and go and do physio. It’s really boring.
“It’s really frustrating and you get really lazy after the point in time. But this time I that didn’t happen. I don’t know what it was, but I always found the motivation to go and do the boring stuff this time, this period of being away from the game to just, you know, not really be desperate about anything,” KL Rahul said.

While explaining the recovery process from his thigh injury this time, the player said that he enjoyed doing physio, whereas earlier it used to feel boring.
“I just wanted to enjoy the process of even doing physio something as boring as physio, which is not as rewarding as playing a game of cricket.
“But, you know, I try to enjoy each part of each day as it comes, and I think that made it really easy and in a way I feel like I’ve been away for four months, but it didn’t feel like it was a long time. It went by really, really quickly,” he added.
KL Rahul was out for four after he received a thigh injury during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Following this, he went through surgery.
In the third Super Fours match between India and Pakistan on Sunday (September 10th), KL Rahul was included in the first eleven after Shreyas Iyer had to be excluded for a back spasm.
