IND vs PAK: "Never write India off"- Twitter reacts as Jasprit Bumrah helps India snatch victory from jaws of defeat in T20 World Cup 2024

Fans on Twitter reacted after India defeated Pakistan in the 19th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The Rohit Sharma-led side won the match by 6 runs at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first. India didn’t have the kind of start they would’ve wanted as both Virat Kohli (4) and Rohit Sharma (13) went back to the hut early at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Axar Patel (20), who was promoted up the order, played a decent hand for his team but couldn’t carry on. Keeper-batter Rishabh Pant (42) on the other hand played aggressively and ended up as the top run-scorer for the team in the high-pressure game. But he too couldn’t carry on and perished at a crucial juncture. 

But after Rishabh Pant got out, things didn’t go in India’s way. From being 89 for three, they got all out for 119 inside 19 overs. Pakistan pacers bowled sensationally well. Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah picked three wickets each while Mohammad Amir bagged one scalp. 

Pakistan in the chase had a decent start to their innings despite skipper Babar Azam (13) losing his wicket early. Usman Khan (13) also chipped in with a vital hand but the real hero for them was Mohammad Rizwan. The keeper-batter held the for his team and played a magnificent innings. 

But after he got out things changed for Pakistan as they lost wickets in quick succession of time. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya were the men behind the carnage as India made a terrific comeback. 

The duo combined to pick three wickets in the middle and tilt the game in India’s favor. In the end, Arshdeep Singh held his nerve and defended the target to win the match for his team by six runs.
