IND Vs PAK: Ravichandran Ashwin Blames Henry Olonga On Miscommunication Over Heath Streak's Death

ICC number one Test bowler, Ravichandran Ashwin opened up on Heath Streak’s death rumors and apologized to the fans since he has also shared a condolence tweet on the ex-Zimbabwe all-rounder.
On Tuesday (August 22nd), cricket fans all over the world started to share misinformation regarding the death of the 49-year-old Zimbabwean who has been suffering from cancer for a long time.
Just like fans many cricketers also took their social networking to mourn the rumored demise of Heath Streak and later deleted the post after news surfaced on the internet that he is ‘well and alive’.
Ravichandran Ashwin took to his official X (formerly Twitter)account and accepted that he had shared the news too and said that the misinformation came from disbelief and sadness. Later, Ashwin added that it feels good that Heath Streak is doing fine.

Many Zimbabwe former players and Heath Streak’s teammates initially confirmed the news of the death at first on the social networking site and later confirmed that he fell for the misinformation.
“Sad news coming through that Heath Streak has crossed to the other side. RIP legend. The greatest all-rounder we produced. It was a pleasure playing with you. See you on the other side when my bowling spell comes to an end,” Henry Olonga shared on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account at first.
Later, Olonga confirmed that it was a rumor and the death news of Heath Streak had been exaggerated. Henry Olonga also shared a screenshot of a chat with Streak himself while debunking the misinformation.
“I can confirm that rumours of the demise of Heath Streak have been greatly exaggerated. I just heard from him. The third umpire has called him back. He is very much alive folks,” Olonga wrote while debunking the misinformation.

Ravichandran Ashwin who is known as one of the greatest spinners at this moment in the world has been kept of the 17-member Asia Cup squad of India.
India will start their Asia Cup 2023 campaign against their arch-rivals Pakistan on Saturday (September 2nd) at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka.
