However, to his disappointment and embarrassment, Pakistan suffered a humiliating loss. They were poor with the bat as they managed just 191 runs and had no answers to the questions put in by Indian bowlers.
With the bat then, India put great pressure on bowlers with captain Rohit Sharma leading the charge with his valiant 86 runs. Shreyas Iyer smashed an unbeaten fifty that took India by 7 wickets. Virat Kohli (16) and Shubman Gill (16) also played crisp strokes but couldn’t carry on. KL Rahul (18*) chipped in as well as India were on the top.

Shoaib Akhtar wasn’t impressed with the way Pakistan bowlers bowled as well. With the way Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli hammered then, he pointed out that the senior Indian batters would’ve felt less pressure while batting in nets. He tweeted:
I am sure Rohit & Virat have more pressure than this batting in nets.
