IND vs PAK: Watch - Kuldeep Yadav Castles Fakhar Zaman To End His Painful Stay During Asia Cup 2023 Super Four Clash

The 28-year-old India National Cricket Team left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav castled the 33-year-old Pakistan National Cricket Team opener Fakhar Zaman to end his painful stay in the middle during the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four clash at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Monday, September 11.

The left-handed Pakistan opener has been going through a lean patch. He had a poor Lanka Premier League season and a horrible series against Afghanistan ahead of the Asia Cup 2023.

In the first few matches of Pakistan in the continental tournament, Fakhar failed to deliver and that continued in the match against India. He scored just 27 runs off 50 balls, with 2 fours before walking back to the hut.

On the second ball of the 20th over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled a flighted delivery. Fakhar went for a slog sweep but he completely missed it and the ball went onto shatter his stumps.

At the time of writing, Pakistan were struggling during the run-chase as they were at 112/6 after 28.3 overs with Iftikhar Ahmed and Faheem Ashraf in the middle. A victory for India in the match will give them two points and if they manage to wrap up the innings quickly the net run rate of the side will receive a massive boost.

Meanwhile, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan took to his official X account to shower rich praise on Kuldeep for bowling a sensational spell and decimating the Pakistan batting unit.

Earlier in the innings, India posted 356/2 after the Indian top-order dismantled the famed Pakistan pace-attack. India openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill stitched together 121 runs and registered good half-centuries. After the wicket of openers, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli hit sensational tons while adding 233 runs.
