Fans on X reacted after Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal bagged a duck in the ongoing second Test against South Africa. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Newlands Park in Capetown, where the hosts won the toss and opted to bat.

India bundled out South Africa for just 55 runs, thanks to the heroics of Mohammed Siraj, who picked 6 wickets. The visitors wrapped up the opposition’s innings inside the first session and then took the bat in the second innings.

With not many runs on the board, it was expected that Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma would give the team a great start. But it wasn’t the case as the youngster got out early and the Indian team lost the first wicket in the 3rd over.

Yashasvi Jaiswal bagged a duck and it marked his third consecutive failure in the series. The opening batter bagged two low scores in the first game in Centurion, where India lost by a massive margin of innings and 32 runs and the game got over in just 3 days.

During the 1st ball of the third over, Kagiso Rabada bowled a short-length ball around off. Yashasvi Jaiswal hung back and stood tall to block the ball. He was completely undone by the extra bounce as he was late to bring his bat down.

The ball hit the inner part of the bat and the ball deflected onto the stumps. He bagged a seven-ball duck and it wasn’t the kind of show that was expected of him. The batter is yet to cross the 20-run mark in the series and would be looking to improve in the second innings.
