Jasprit Bumrah conceded just 7 runs in his first over and picked the wicket as well. His sensational first over was backed magnificently well by Mohammed Siraj. The pacer bowled a maiden over and both the fast bowlers have put extreme pressure on Sri Lanka.
Siraj backed his maiden over with a wicket in his second over. He removed Pathum Nissanka. He bowled a length ball that nipped inwards. The batter played at it and Ravindra Jadeja at the backward point took a staggering catch. If this was not enough he also trapped Sadeera Samarawickrama in LBW and then removed Charith Asalanka as well followed by Dhananjaya de Silva. Sri Lanka were left tottering at 12/4.
