IND vs USA: Watch - Suryakumar Yadav's wife and Rohit Sharma give contrasting reactions after batsman gets huge reprieve against USA

Suryakumar Yadav, on Wednesday (June 12), starred with the bat to power India to a 7-wicket win over USA in the 25th game of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The Men in Blue locked horns against the co-hosts in the historic game at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

It was the first-ever international game between the two teams across formats. USA came up with a fighting performance but eventually ended up on the losing side against one of the strongest teams in the competition. Asked to bat first, USA finished their innings on 110 for 7 on a tough pitch.

With the ball, they started in a brilliant fashion and had India in all sorts of trouble. Left-arm pacer Saurabh Netravalkar dismissed Virat Kohli for a golden duck in the very first over before sending back captain Rohit Sharma for 3 in the third over to leave India reeling at 10 for 2. 

It was followed by a 29-run stand between Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav before the former departed for 18 to leave India three down for 39. India were in a spot of bother at that time. However, Suryakumar Yadav held firm from one end and scored a fighting fifty. He scored an unbeaten 50 off 49 balls and shared an unbeaten stand of 72 runs with Shivam Dube to take India home.

Suryakumar Yadav's wife reacts to dropped catch:

Suryakumar Yadav had luck on his side as he received a big reprieve before going on to play the match-winning knock. In the 13th over of the India innings, he was dropped by Netravalkar when he was batting on only 22 runs.

The right-handed batsman wanted to chip the ball over the infield but ended up miscuing it behind square. Netravalkar charged towards the ball from the short third-man position and got himself under the ball in time as well but ended up dropping it.

And as the USA pacer dropped the catch, the cameras turned towards the stands where Suryakumar Yadav's  Devisha Shetty and Rohit Sharma came up with interesting reactions. Devisha heaved a sigh of relief and was seen smiling as well after her husband got the lifeline. However, Rohit Sharma looked frustrated with his teammate's shot selection and was seen venting his frustration.
