The India National Cricket Team had a comprehensive win over the West Indies National Cricket Team in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. Virat Kohli stepped up big in the run chase. However, Rohit Sharma, who got a start, failed to convert, but former India batter Sadagoppan Ramesh believes Rohit will score a century in the series.
Rohit Sharma has been one of the most talked-about cricketers over the last few months, as there were speculations about his retirement from the 50-over format. However, putting an end to the rumours, Rohit Sharma scored a daddy hundred in the third ODI in England at Lord’s and played the first game last night against the Windies.

While speaking on his Instagram handle, Sadagoppan Ramesh stated that India still has two ODIs left and he feels that both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will score one-one century in the remaining two games. He confirms that Rohit will definitely score a century before this series ends. Ramesh believes that when one of Rohit and Kohli scores a century, the other tries to follow.
Sadagoppan Ramesh said, "Just look at India's last two ODIs. Rohit scores a century in one and Virat in the other. It clearly tells you that these two should be left alone. Also, if one catches fire, it spreads to the other. So, in the remaining two matches of this series, Rohit will also definitely score a century."
"When one scores a century between these two, the other tries to score one within the next series. This shows that they are clearly feeding off each other and going from strength to strength. They are on fire together."

While speaking on Virat Kohli, Ramesh said that the former India captain is going to demolish the West Indies side once again before the series ends. He feels that Rohit Sharma and Virat of Indian cricket have been like ‘wounded tigers’ who are hungry for more runs and centuries as they grow old.
"Kohli has two more innings against the West Indies, and he'll definitely demolish them before they leave. Both Kohli and Rohit are batting like wounded tigers. I expect at least one century from Rohit or Virat in the final two ODIs," said Ramesh
Virat Kohli stood tall for India in a run chase
Coming to the match, India won the toss and elected to field first. West Indies opener Justin Greaves scored a brilliant maiden ODI hundred. Kuldeep Yadav picked four wickets and restricted the visitors to a decent score of 295/7 in their 50 overs.
While chasing, it was yet again a Virat Kohli special as he overshadowed India captain Shubman Gill’s innings of 110 runs. Kohli played a knock of 139 runs off 88 deliveries as he smacked 10 fours and 9 sixes in the game.
He was at his absolute best on the night, as he has been for the Men in Blue over the years in run chases, and Kohli also became the fastest to achieve 15,000 ODI runs and is now only behind his idol, Sachin Tendulkar.
