IND vs WI 3rd T20I: India’s Playing XI. IND vs WI 3rd T20I is all set to take place on Tuesday (August 8) at Providence Stadium in Guyana. India lost the 1st T20I by 4 runs and the 2nd T20I by 2 wickets. Hardik Pandya is the skipper of India. Rovman Powell is the captain of West Indies.

After losing the first two games of the five-match series, India will need a strong comeback in the 3rd T20I clash. Otherwise, they will lose the series even before the last two games. India has won their last five T20I series against West Indies. Hence, a defeat will be a big upset for the mighty Indian side. Ahead of IND vs WI 3rd T20I, we take a look at India’s predicted playing XI in the match.

Ishan Kishan will be the wicketkeeper and opener for the team in IND vs WI 3rd ODI too. The left-handed batter showed superb form in the ODI series. The Jharkhand cricketer won the Player of the Series award after smashing a fifty in every ODI game. He got out cheaply in the 1st T20I but came up with a better knock of 27 runs in the 2nd T20I.

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill has largely failed to make an impact in IND vs WI T20I series. The right-handed batter got out for single digits in both games. However, Gill is a powerful batsman. After failing to score in two ODI games earlier, he slammed an 85-run knock in the 3rd clash. Hence, he can repeat his heroics in the T20I series too.

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav might take the one-down slot. Since both Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer are not part of the IND vs WI T20I series, Yadav becomes the best option to take the one-down position. The right-handed batter got out for 21 and 1 in two games. Yadav is a T20I specialist and will be aiming to come up with a marvelous knock in the next clash.

Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma will be a confirmed batter for the team in the 3rd T20I against West Indies. The left-handed batsman scored stunning knocks in both previous games. He slammed 39 runs in the 1st match and 51 runs in the 2nd to emerge as the top run-getter for India on both occasions. With his fabulous form, he will definitely earn a place in the playing XI in the next clash.

Hardik Pandya is the skipper of India in the IND vs WI T20I series and will lead the team in the next match. Pandya showed a stupendous performance in the last match picking 3 wickets. He also scored 24 runs for the team. Pandya needs to prove his captainship with a victory in the 3rd T20I. Otherwise, India will have no chance to win the series.

Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson might be a middle-order batter for India in the next T20I encounter. Although Samson failed to score runs in both previous games, he scored fifty in one ODI match. Also, India does not have more middle-order batters in the squad to replace Samson. Hence, Samson will be part of the next match too and this time, he will aim to smack a wonderful knock.

Axar Patel

Axar Patel will be another member of the playing XI in the next T20I clash. Axar Patel got a good start in both games. However, he could not bat for a longer period. The left-handed batter has executed impressive performances in many T20I series over the last year. Hence, he might get another chance in the next match.

Kuldeep Yadav might be back in the IND vs WI 3rd T20I. India’s idea to drop Yadav and pick Bishnoi did not fare well in the 2nd T20I. The latter leaked 31 runs in his 4 overs at an economy of 7.80 and failed to get any wickets. In comparison, Yadav had only conceded 20 runs in his 4-over spell in the 1st T20I and also bagged a wicket.
