IND vs WI: Shubman Gill Achieves Historic Milestone In ODIs As He Breaks Imam-ul-Haq's Record

Indian batter Shubman Gill achieved a massive feat in the history of the ODIs as he surpassed Pakistan batter Imam-ul-Haq’s tally of 1381 runs to become the batter with the most runs after 27 games in the 50-over format.

Shubman Gill achieved the feat in the ongoing series decider third ODI against West Indies at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. The Indian opener after missing out on two big scores played a magnificent innings in the important game and put his team in the driver’s seat.

Shubman Gill looked in great control and he oozed his class throughout his innings. The young batter looked in complete control today and stitched a 143 runs opening partnership with Ishan Kishan (77), making sure that his side get a flying start in the series decider.

Shubman Gill batted till the 39th over and missed out on a well-deserved century. The opening batter smashed 85 runs off 92 balls with the help of 11 classy boundaries. His innings helped India post a total of 351 runs on the board. His knock saw him scoring 1437 runs in 27 games at an average of 62.48.

Shubman Gill was also on the verge of breaking a massive Indian record. If the batter would’ve scored his ton he would’ve surpassed Shikhar Dhawan to become the quickest batter to score 5 centuries for the Men in Blue in the ODIs.

IND vs WI: Most Runs In ODIs after 27 innings, Shubman Gill at the top

Gill tops the list of most runs in ODIs after 27 innings. He’s followed by Imam-ul-Haq and Rassie van der Dussen, who had 1353 runs. Ryan Ten Doeschate also has the same number of runs as a South African player.
