Suryakumar Yadav is back to his best after scoring a scintillating 83 off 44 balls in India’s win over West Indies in the third T20I on Tuesday. The win keeps India alive in the series. The Men in Blue needs to win the final two T20Is to win the series.
SKY who had a tough time in the ODI series and in the first two T20Is looked sublime with his strokeplay in the third T20I. He hit 10 fours and four sixes and looked in complete control during his knock.
He walked out to bat with India struggling at 34/2 inside the powerplay and took India to the brink of a win before he was dismissed. The formalities were then completed by Tilak Varma (49*) and Hardik Pandya (20*).
Veteran Indian Test cricketer Abhinav Mukud hailed SKY for his innings in a pressure situation in the third T20I. He said that the Indian batter is an exceptional player when he gets going and praised his range of shots as well.

“It does not matter to him what the occasion is. He is an exceptional player and when he gets going, there is no stopping him. He has the range and every single shot in the book,” Mukund was quoted as saying to Jio Cinema.
He further said that it is impossible to bowl to Suryakumar Yadav when he bats as he did in the third T20I.
“I am just trying to figure out in my head for my own curiosity, where would I bowl to him if I were the opposing captain. If he gets into such sort of mood, it is very hard to bowl to him. That’s the truth and West Indies found it out the hard way today,” Mukund added saying.
SKY went past 100 T20I sixes in the previous game and became the joint second-fastest to achieve the feat along with Chris Gayle. Evin Lewis leads the race as the fastest to hit 100 T20I sixes. SKY also won his 12th Man of the Match award in just 51 T20Is. He is third on the list of most MOM awards among Indian cricketers after Virat Kohli (15) and Rohit Sharma (12).
India needs to win the final two T20Is on Saturday (August 12) and Sunday (August 13) to win the five-match series.
