“All my memories of him (Brian Lara) are smashing the bowlers and taking on the bowlers. Whenever I used to see him, especially in red ball, he used to be one of those people, you know, who used to go in and straight from ball one, he would take on the bowlers and would take on the challenge. And that really inspired me as a kid to be able to dominate the game, in all formats,” the Indian opener said.

When asked about his opinions about Brian Lara Stadium, Shubman Gill called it a fantastic ground.

“I think it’s a great facility. Fantastic ground. I played here actually in 2019 as well and scored a double hundred as well. This ground has always been good for me”, the 23-year-old further said. Have a look at the video below.

Shubman Gill struggled to score runs in the first two ODI games. The right-handed batsman got out for 7 runs in the 1st ODI and 34 runs in the 2nd ODI. However, with 85 runs in the final game, he ended the series on a high note.
