It seems that Indian batter Virat Kohli has found his mojo back in Test cricket as he has played superbly in the ongoing first Test against West Indies at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica. The right-hander took his time to get going after he came to bat in the 79th over.
In what has been a slow pitch to bat on Virat Kohli has looked good and regained his touch as a stat showed that he had 90% control during his innings on Day 2. Resuming the innings on his overnight score of 36 runs, the batter looked positive today and played shots as well, which weren’t quite there last night.
Virat Kohli, who took 84 balls to hit his first boundary, smashed a blistering half-century and also completed 8500 runs in Test cricket. The batter played some classy shots and also kept his fans entertained as well with his hilarious gestures and antics while batting.
One of the hilarious moments came after Virat Kohli hit his 3rd boundary. He was elated with himself and as the ball touched the ropes, he punched the air in celebration. Notably, he also celebrated after he hit his first four in the game.

With the way Virat Kohli is batting, it seems that he will get his Test century as he has looked in complete control. At lunch on Day 3, the senior batter was batting at 70 runs off 170 balls with the help of 5 boundaries.

As an opener, he is only the third after Shikhar Dhawan (187) in 2013 vs Australia and Prithvi Shaw (134) in 2018 vs West Indies to hit the ton on his debut. Also, he now has the third-highest score by an Indian batter on debut.
