India and Zimbabwe play a five-match T20I series in Zimbabwe starting from July 6. The five T20Is will be played between July 6-14. All matches will be played in Hahare.
The BCCI named a completely different squad to what played in the World Cup. India were crowned the T20 World Cup champions and the senior players have been rested for this series. India will be led by Shubman Gill with plenty of new faces added to the squad.
The BCCI named an updated squad for the first two T20Is with Shivam Dube, Sanju Samson, and Yashasvi Jaiswal not part of the first two games as was originally named. The trio will first return to India meet the PM and then ply back to Hahare for the last three T20Is.
The BCCI selection committee named Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana as replacements for the trio for the first two games. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Riyan Parag, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Tushar Deshpande and Jitesh Sharma are some of the players named in the squad.

The tour allows players like Abhishek Sharma, Royan Parag, and Harshit Rana to earn their T20I debut caps. Sai Sudharsan has already named his ODI debut for India and will likely make his T20I debut in this series.
Zimbabwe will be led by Sikandar Raza, the senior all-rounder. Tendai Chatara, Brandon Mavuta, and Wessly Madhevere are among those who return to the 17-man squad led by Sikandar Raza but there's no place for Ryan Burl, Joylord Gumbie, and Ainsley Ndlovu. Craig Ervine and Sean Williams were not considered for selection the board asserted.
