The build-up for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2025 between India and Australia has been keeping everyone excited. The two top teams in Test cricket will be up against each other in the five-match Test series.

India and Australia have engaged in some intense battles over the last few years. The Rohit Sharma-led side have the upper hand over the opposition as they have managed to outclass the Pat Cummins-led side both at home as well away.

The upcoming Test series will be played in Australia and India's record in the last two tours has been sensational. They won two back-to-back series down under and the brand of cricket that they played was lauded by many. Especially in the last tour, it was the second-string Indian team, that won the series as the main players got injured.

This time around too, it will be an exciting series. The battle between Indian pacers and the Australian batters will be a key factor. Steve Smith in particular will be vital for his team's chances as in the absence of retired David Warner, he will have to play a massive role.

Steve Smith believes that the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be a great series as both the teams have played great cricket over the last few years. He also stated that Rohit Sharma-led's side have been terrific over the last two tours. Speaking to Star Sports, he explained:

"Yeah, very excited. You know, it's going to be a great series. You know, India have been playing outstanding cricket. We've been playing really good cricket for the last couple of years. You know, we haven't beaten India in the last two times they've come out here," said Steve Smith.

They've played good cricket when we've been over in India as well, where we know they're very, very difficult to beat. So it's going to be a big summer. It's going to be an exciting one. And yeah, I'm looking forward to it."
