India Playing 11 vs Oman- Asia Cup 2025, Match 12:
Openers: Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma
Having already qualified for the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025, defending champions India look at the match against Oman as an opportunity to continue the momentum that they have on their side, courtesy of a win.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led side is expected to go into the match against Oman with an unchanged playing XI, considering that they would like to provide stability to the players.
Having said that, the Men in Blue might contemplate a change in batting order in order to give much-needed time in the middle to the likes of Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson, both of whom haven't yet batted in the tournament.
However, one thing is certain: the Men in Blue will open the innings with the in-form pair of Abhishek Sharma.
The duo is yet to break a swat while batting, as the batters haven't been challenged so far in the eight-team competition.
Abhishek, who has earned a reputation for playing aggressively in the first six overs, will look to keep up the good work, while Shubman would also want to get a big score under his belt.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Sanju Samson (wk), Axar Patel
The openers will be followed by a middle order that is filled with T20 specialists, including captain Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Shivam Dube.
The trio took the team home in the last match when the Men in Blue lost both their openers in quick succession after a blistering start, and would want to replicate that in the last group game.
India might opt to bat first if they win the toss, as they have chased in the previous two matches and would want to test themselves while batting first.
If they bat first, they will also pose a good challenge for the bowlers, who will have to contend with whatever dew is present in the second innings.
Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah
The Men in Blue are expected to opt for a spin-heavy bowling lineup once again, with the trio of Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakaravarthy being at the forefront.
India would want the spinners to have a good outing with the ball once again, like they did in the previous two matches against the UAE and Pakistan, respectively.
Among the three spinners, Kuldeep has been the pick of the bowlers and has been provided good support from Axar Patel and Varun Chakarvarthy.
As far as India's fast bowling department is concerned, it will be handled by Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Shivam Dube.
The Men in Blue would want to make it three wins from three games by getting the better of Oman to maintain the momentum come the next round.
