India set unbelievable world record, smash fastest 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 in Test history

India National Cricket Team achieved a massive feat in Test cricket after their batting carnage in the ongoing second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The game between the two teams is taking place at the Green Park in Kanpur.

After the hosts bundled out Bangladesh for just 233 runs, it was batting mayhem from the end of the batters. Yashasvi Jaiswal began the proceedings on high as he hit three boundaries in the first over, and after that, for some time, it was all about Rohit Sharma who took center stage.

Rohit Sharma stepped down the track on the first ball and hit his first two balls for a massive six. The India skipper went hard on the bowlers and made sure that he put his team at the top right from the start. The opening batter led the charge as he looked desperate to get the result.

Rohit Sharma scored 23 runs off just 11 balls as the batter hit some crisp shots in his innings. On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal kept playing gorgeous strokes and slammed a flurry of boundaries in his innings, which took India off to a flyer with the bat.

As Rohit and Yashasvi were all over the bowlers, India registered fifty in just 3 overs. This was was fastest ever fifty by any team in the history of the longest format of the game. It was also the first instance where any team went past half a century in this amount of time.

After Rohit got out, Yashasvi Jaiswal slammed a blistering half-century and played with a strike rate of over 142. He ended with an inning of 72 runs off 51 balls, scoring 12 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. He was supported well by Shubman Gill.

The right-hander also played a vital innings of 39 runs as the duo's 72-run partnership in just 63 overs. Thanks to their stand, the India National Cricket Team brought up a century in 10.1 overs. This was also the fastest century by the team in Test cricket.

In the end, India posted 285/9 on the board before declaring the innings. They also achieved the fastest 150 (18.2 overs), 200 (24.2 overs), and 250 (30.1 overs) in the history of Test cricket.

The hosts also registered the most number of sixes by team in a calendar year. They went past the 90-sixes mark to go surpass England's 89 sixes in 2022.
