Indian Women’s Cricket Team has been making headlines. Their recent triumph against England in the ODI Series was quite fantastic. Deepti Sharma’s run out at the Iconic Lord’s has been the talking point. Many cricketers believe that the runout is against the spirit of the game.

Indian Women’s Cricket Team has had a topsy-turvy Asia Cup 2022 so far. Their recent defeat against Thailand raised a lot of question marks over their team’s performance. The team has shown that they are a force to reckon with as all eyes would be on the skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.

Deepti Sharma On a Roll

Indian Women’s Cricket Team all-rounder Deepti  Sharma has done a remarkable job with the ball at the Women’s Asia Cup. She was quite lethal as she had taken 3 wickets against Pakistan, 2 against Bangladesh & Thailand. Due to such performances, the all-rounder has moved to 3rd position in the ICC Women’s Rankings.  Hagley Matthews is at the No. 2 position and Sophie Devine is at the top of the rankings.

Jemimah Rodrigues Back to Best

The right-handed batter had struck a terrific knock of 76 runs in the Asia Cup against Sri Lanka. She has looked in sublime touch throughout the tournament. Indian Women’s Batter Jemimah Rodrigues has made an entry into the T20I Batting Rankings.  She has gone past her teammate Shafali Verma and reached the 6th position.

The batter looks ominous at the moment and it won’t be wrong to say that she has become a key member of the team. Indian Women’s Cricket team would be hoping that they don’t succumb to pressure. The management has done quite a good job after the loss against Thailand as coming out of that phase is never easy.
