England are led by their veteran skipper Heather Knight. They too have a good core of players with plenty of them playing in the WPL as well. With the WPL auction approaching, the overseas players have an opportunity to hog the limelight with some good performances. 

Mumbai have been a batting-friendly wicket historically with scores of over 200 being scored and chased with regularity. This is a hard ground to defend with the dew making strokeplay easier for the chasing team. 

India women’s team head coach Amol Muzumdar, spoke about setting particular goals in the upcoming T20I series and fielding and fitness being the priority. He also emphasized that the series will be an audition for the players ahead of next year’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian skipper will also be tested. She knows many of these players very well and these two teams also know their strengths and weaknesses very well as well. The two teams have played 27 T20Is with England winning 20 and India winning seven. England won the last T20I played between the two sides in the Women’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.
