India Women will lock horns with Sri Lanka Women in the 3rd T20I match of the ongoing series. The IND W vs SL W 3rd T20I encounter will take place on June 27 (Monday). The venue of the match is Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

The India Women tour of Sri Lanka 2022 consists of a T20I and ODI series. Both the series comprise 3 games. In the T20I series, India is led by Harmanpreet Kaur while Sri Lanka is led by Chamari Athapaththu. In the 3rd T20I clash, India will aim to bag a whitewash in the series while Sri Lanka will seek to evade it. In the 1st T20I, India batted first and slammed 138-6. Shafali Varma with 31 runs and Jemimah Rodrigues will an unbeaten 36 were the top run-getter for the team. For Sri Lanka, Inoka Ranaweera picked the most 3 wickets.

Later, Kavisha Dilhari slammed the most 47 runs for Sri Lanka. However, other batters failed to score good runs. In spite of Dilhari’s unbeaten knock, Sri Lanka women reached 104-5 till the final ball and remained short of 34 runs in the end. Radha Yadav hunted 2 wickets for India.

In the 2nd T20I clash, Sri Lanka women batted first. Openers Vishmi Gunaratne and Chamari Athapathu slammed brilliant knocks for 45 and 43. However, Sri Lanka lost some quick wickets in the middle in the form of Kavisha Dilhari (2), Harshitha Madavi (9), Nilakshi de Silva (1), and Hasini Perera (0). No other batter could score well as Sri Lanka finished with 125-7 on the board.

Later, India Women managed to grab victory by 5 wickets. Opener Smriti Mandhana slammed a good knock of 39 runs. Shafali Verma and Sabbhineni Meghana added 17 runs each. Harmanpreet Kaur also smacked unbeaten 31 runs to drive the Indian team to victory in the final over.
