India Women's tour of Bangladesh 2024 schedule announced

India women’s National Cricket Team are all set to tour Bangladesh for the five-match T20I series. The series will be played in April and May with all five games between the teams taking place in Sylhet.
The first match of the series between India and Bangladesh will be played on 28th April. The second game is slated to take place on 30th April. The first two games of the five-match T20I series between the teams will be night fixtures while the third and fourth games will be day games in Sylhet.
The third game will take place on 2nd May followed by the fourth match of the series, to be played on 6th May. There will be a significant gap between the fourth and the fifth game. The five-match T20 series between India women and Bangladesh Women will conclude on 24th May, which will be a night fixture.
The night games between the teams will be played at the main Cricket Stadium in Sylhet whereas the day fixtures held at the outer venue. The evening games will start at 6.30 pm local time while the day games are scheduled to start at 2 pm.
The five-match series between the teams will be an ideal preparation for both India as well as Bangladesh for the T20 World Cup 2024. The event will take place in Bangladesh in September-October. For the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side, it will be a great opportunity to get used to the conditions ahead of the big tournament.
The India team will be arriving in Bangladesh on April 23. They will have a good time to prepare for the series. It remains to be who will make it into the Indian squad for the T20I series. It is expected that a few of the performers from the WPL 2024 might get an opportunity in the series.

• April 28 – 1st T20I (night)
• April 30 – 2nd T20I (night)
• May 2 – 3rd T20I (day)
• May 6 – 4th T20I (day)
• May 9 – 5th T20I (night)
This will be India women’s second tour to Bangladesh in the last two years and overall third tour. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side had a decent outing last tour as they won the T20I series 2-1. And shared the trophy in ODIs and the series ended on 1-1.

India’s last tour to Bangladesh had a of drama. The poor umpiring cost India women and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur didn’t go easy on the officials. During the post-match presentation, she stated that whenever they tour next they need to make sure that they are prepared for poor umpiring. She had said:
“The next time whenever we are coming to Bangladesh, we’ll have to make sure we have to deal with this kind of umpiring and accordingly, we’ll have to prepare ourselves.”
For her comments, Harmanpreet Kaur was then banned for two games by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Even India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana expressed her desire to see better umpiring, saying that there should be neutral umpires for the next tour.
