India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal are six Asian Giants who will wrestle in Asia Cup 2023. Sri Lanka is the defending champion while Pakistan is the runners-up of the last edition.

Asia Cup 2023 begins on August 30 and 17 exciting encounters will take place during the tournament. India will be led by ODI skipper Rohit Sharma. The 7-time Asian Cup champions will form a strong squad for the tournament.

Openers- Rohit Sharma & Shikhar Dhawan

For openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan will be picked if all seniors are brought back for Asia Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma is the skipper of India. The right-handed batsman has shown a marvelous form in ODIs in 2023, smacking 1 century and 2 half-centuries.
Shikhar Dhawan was dropped from the ODI team at the start of 2023. Last year, the left-handed batter mustered 688 runs in 22 ODIs with 6 half-centuries.
Middle-Order- Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer

In the middle-order, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer should be picked. While Kohli will grab the one-down batting slot, Iyer will be no.4 batter. With 2 ODI centuries this year, Kohli owns a marvelous form this year.
Iyer was out of the field since March due to injury. The right-handed batter has recovered from his injury and is preparing to make a comeback to the team.
Wicketkeepers- Sanju Samson, KL Rahul

If seniors are brought back for Asia Cup 2023, KL Rahul will get the role of wicketkeeper. The right-handed batter played a few match-winning knocks in some ODI games in the past. He was injured during IPL 2023 and underwent thigh surgery.
The middle-order batsman has recovered and is hitting the nets. Sanju Samson gave a stunning performance in all his last few ODI series. Last year, he held an average of 71+ in ODIs.
All-Rounders- Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel

For all-rounders, three players who can be picked if all seniors are called back are Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel. Hardik Pandya is also the vice-captain of the team. The right-handed batsman has executed decent performance with both bat and ball this year.
Jadeja is a crucial all-rounder for India, who is part of every format. Patel has grabbed the limelight as an all-rounder during the last two years.
Spinners- Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal

Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal should be picked as spinners for Asia Cup 2023. Chahal, who has played a limited number of ODIs this year, is a senior spinner for the team who bowls right-arm leg spinner.
Yadav, who missed the field due to his injury and form during the last few years, is back to the national team in white-ball formats. The left-arm spinner gave a fabulous performance in the series against West Indies. The chinaman spinner also performed well in all series he played this year.
Pacers- Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj

For pacers, the first two names will be Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. While Bumrah is out of the team since September last year due to an injury. After back surgery, the right-arm pacer is set to represent India in the series against Ireland.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was ruled out of the national squad after a poor show in ICC T20 World Cup 2023 last year. However, the right-arm pacer was a regular part of the ODI team in all series last year.
The other two pacers will be Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Sira. While Shami has been a consistent performer in ODIs for the last 3-4 years, Siraj has moved to the peak spot in the ODI team in 2023 with his lethal pace attack.
