Mumbai Indians lost their first game for the ninth consecutive time against the RCB team and they will be looking to stamp their authority back in their second game of IPL 2021 against KKR. The star-studded team could not defend the total of 159 and RCB got over the line in the last ball.

Mumbai over the years has gone to be very successful after losing their first game and that could be the case again with the number of stars in the team. Mumbai Indians look to have got all sources covered and Quinton De Kock has completed the quarantine to make himself available for the second game. Here are 3 stars from Mumbai Indians who can be game-changers against Kolkata Knight Riders.

IPL 2021: 3 Stars From Mumbai Indians(MI) Who Can Be The Game Changers Against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Suryakumar Yadav:

Suryakumar Yadav started off well but couldn’t go on to make a big score and had to be dismissed after a decent knock of 31 runs in 23 deliveries. He hit four fours and a six in his innings and he was well on the way for a big score until his dismissal reflected a big collapse in the Mumbai batting and ended up for a paltry score rather than a good score.

Suryakumar Yadav has been in good form in the limited-overs series against England and a lot will be expected from him in the forthcoming matches. He can play the decisive innings that could take Mumbai to victory and he has shown it in the past that he has the goods to deliver. He is a good player of spin and will be a key player in getting the job done against the KKR spin attack.

Hardik Pandya:

Hardik Pandya is one of the top all-rounders in the IPL this year and when he is on a song, it becomes very difficult to stop his attack. He did not bowl in the first game against RCB which raised a lot of questions on the team management and he is expected to roll his arms over for the Mumbai franchise soon.

Mumbai Indians missed his bowling services a lot and he would be very disappointed with his dismissal in the first game. Harshal bowled a low full toss and Hardik should have pounced on it, instead missed the delivery and adjudged LBW. Hardik perished for 13 runs in 10 balls with two fours and he will be looking for a big score against the KKR franchise which he has taken a lot of liking in the past.

Jasprit Bumrah:

Jasprit Bumrah bowled well for Mumbai Indians, in the end, to take the game deep until the last delivery but he was used by Rohit Sharma at a stage when the things have already come under control for RCB and there was no run rate pressure on the batsmen. They were happy to knock Bumrah for a single and try to protect their wicket which was enough.

Bumrah finished with two wickets for 26 runs in four overs quota but could not restrict AB Devilliers from hitting the boundaries which made the chase easier for the Mumbai Indians. Bumrah has to be used more wisely by the skipper Rohit Sharma to make him even more effective. He is a game-changer with the ball and brings a lot of value to the team as the leader of the attack. His four overs are going to be very decisive against the strong KKR middle order.
