Krishnappa Gowtham was Chennai Super Kings’ biggest buy at Rs. 9.25 crore. In IPL 2018 auction, Krishnappa Gowtham was bought by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping Rs. 6.2 crore from his base price of Rs. 20 lakh. Being an all-rounder, he performed impressively with the bat and the ball. In 15 matches in IPL 2018, he scored 240 126 runs and also took 11 wickets. In IPL 2019, his performance declined as he could only take 1 wicket in 7 matches. In IPL 2020, Gowtham played 2 matches for Punjab Kings scalping 1 wicket. In IPL 2021, Gowtham will make a debut for Chennai Super Kings.
Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of IPL 2021 auction and Chennai Super Kings bought him for Rs. 7 crore. Moeen Ali is an aggressive off-spinner as touted as England’s best spinner in Test at home soil. In the last three seasons, Moeen Ali played 19 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore where he took 10 wickets. However, Ali has a lot of experience on the international stage and CSK will definitely give him opportunities in IPL 2021.
Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa was part of Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings traded him in their squad in IPL 2021. Robin Uthappa has been a great opener in IPL tournaments so far. When Kolkata Knight Riders won the title in IPL 2014, Robin Uthappa had a big role as he was the highest run-scorer in that season. Robin Uthappa played 5 seasons for Kolkata Knight Riders from IPL 2015 to IPL 2019. Cheteshwar Pujara is another player who can make a debut for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. Being a Test specialist, Pujara could not attract any IPL team during the last 6 seasons. In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018-19, Pujara finished with 260 runs in 6 innings and was the highest run-scorer for his team Saurashtra.
C Hari Nishaanth

C Hari Nishaanth is another player who can make a debut for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. Nishaanth is a left-handed batsman and right-arm bowler. CSK bought him due to his impressive performance in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21. C Hari Nishaanth’s team Tamil Nadu won the final and he contributed with 246 runs for his team along with a crucial 35 runs knock in the final.
